Quite an authentic HK dim sum restaurant. Just the 咸水角 funny to me with mushroom inside! 燒賣is nice. but 流沙包 is not always 流沙 one time we the bun with a solid filling. The Fry Tofu was so good that I remembered to take a picture after eating so mamy pieces. One downside, though, they have only 4 types of tea to choose from....
The $128 Peking Duck and Lobster combo is a fantastic deal, especially considering today’s prices. Both dishes come in generous portions, and the restaurant doesn’t skimp on quality ingredients. The duck is crispy and flavorful, while the lobster is fresh, tender, and well-prepared. Unlike many traditional Chinese restaurants, the flavors here are on the lighter side, making it a great option for those who prefer less salt in their meals. Some standout dishes include the Steamed Fresh Tofu with Seafood and Greens, which is silky and packed with umami, and the Baked Pudding, which is rich, creamy, and a perfect way to end the meal. The menu offers a good variety of classic and modern Chinese dishes, catering to different tastes. The restaurant tends to get busy quite quickly, so making a reservation is highly recommended to avoid long wait times. The seating is comfortable, and the ambiance is pleasant, making it a great spot for both casual and special occasions. Parking is another plus—there’s designated parking underneath the London Drugs lot. However, some diners seem to use the general London Drugs parking area instead. Parking is free for two hours, which should be enough for a relaxed dining experience. Overall, this place is a great option for quality Chinese food with a lighter touch, good service, and great value. Highly recommended!
Weekend dim sum with my friend Food was very good, love the Chiu chow dumplings, Siu Mai was very good too. Century egg congee was good for it’s price Service was good. Decor is still relatively new
Great chinese restaurant, peking duck was excellent but not exceptional as well as all the other dishes. I wanted XO sauce but surprisignyl they didnt have any so they gave me refular chili oil. The fish everybody else enjoyed but I did not like the sauce at all as it the mustardy flavour did jot go well, and the beef dish tasted wuite out of of place because it was very rich in truffle flavour but still tasty nevertheless. I also didnt like the fried tofu. The tofu and eggplant was definitely too greasy and the lettuce had too much of a strong flavour so it didnt compliment the filling that well. I think it should have been a more subtle flavour. The atmosphere was very nice and the rables were very well set up. We were seated in a small room and there was only one server for three huge tables which was a downside because due to how busy he was he never gave us my refill on water and we had to ask him again. There should have been more servers. The food cane quickly and he was very talkative and quite nice, calling one of us “handsome” twice which was quite flattering. Dont have much else on how the service could have been improved. Dessert was complimentery (red bean soup) but didnt try any. Overall quite underwhelming per the food and the fact that I left the restaurant still very hungry as there wasnt enough food for me but still very memorable and delicious and nice experience. Still prefer neptune and empire.
The King Crab is absolutely delicious! Dishes are big portions. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We had a set menu for a group of 6 here. We have been to this place before but did not know what to order. Alice was very helpful and texted me the set menu options. We got the set menu with lobster and Peking duck. Chicken and Fish Maw soup , Honey Garlic Pork Chop , Minced Duck with Lettuce wrap , Sautéed Green Wrasse with Broccoli , Seafood Fried Rice and Dessert. There is a choice of noodles for the lobster too. Everything was delicious. Food was served in a timely manner and the servings were adequate.
